Coat Racks from Repurposed Headboards
These two beauties were created from an old thrift store headboard. The top one was created by sawing the legs off and flipping it upside down. It features beautiful, antiqued, turquiose knobs as hangers, and a unique wire across the top with customized matching clothespins to display photos or hang wet mittens in the winter.
The "frame" of the bottom one has been treated with antiquing glaze to bring out the details in the woodworking on the piece. The body is painted with chalkboard paint, great for to do lists, messages, or greetings. Off white and black detailed knobs for hanging coats and bags finish this timeless piece.
Both have several coats of polyurethane for durability as well as d-rings for mounting. Both of these beauties are for sale $40 for the top one. $55 for the bottom. Contact me via email if interested or check out my craigslist adds here and here.
I have yet to start the matching footboard, so if you would like a custom piece I can make that happen.
Thanks!!
